Hello everyone.

Its nice to see a community for Recipes from India. But as you know, most of Indian cooking takes so much time.
Are there any instant Indian recipes? Something tasty and that can be done in about half an hour or less. By instant I am not talking about buying Instant mixes from Gits or something like that

Happy cooking.

Instant dosa's

Try this recipe for instant Indian pancakes. Make the pancake batter with any store brought pancake mix according to instructions on the box. Add chopped ginger, green chillies, cilantro, tomatoes and onions to it. Season it with salt and then make thin dosa like pancakes. These taste pretty good with pickles, yougurt etc.
One of the other things I have tried is the healthy green dosa ... . I sprout green moong dal and then blend the sprouts with ginger, garlic, onions, chillies, cilantro to make a batter. I keep this in the fridge (stays for a week or so) and make pancakes/crepes/dosas (call it what you will) of this batter as and when needed.

If you like paneer
This one hardly takes 15 mins!

Ingredients :
Tomato Puree, ginger paste, salt, paneer, haldi, chilli powder.
You can grate the paneer (cottage cheese)
or just make cubes.
Put oil in kadai and add a little jeera(cumin seeds).Let it sputter.
Put the ginger paste.Stir for a minute.
Add the tomato puree.Cook till oil leaves sides.Add the paneer, salt and haldi and chilli powder.Stir for half a min.Let it cook in sim for 7-10 mins. You can add a little water (just before putting in sim)if you want a wet dish. Then the dish is done as soon as the water boils up.
Can sprinkle garam massala powder at the end.
Thats it!

1. Lime rice.
