Can someone recommend good schools...Been out of chennai almost 7 years before and no idea how schools are now...

I do not have any high profile thing in mind...I want quality education...

I have PSBB as an option...any inputs are welcome

@Aruna,

Its sishya....Its ICSE but somehow haven't liked their way of education...

They have rules that focus on financial ability..too much and kids are treated that way too is what I heard!

Hey thanks guys...Since got the whole life spent in chennai..and was in National Public school...want that quality education for the little one also!

PSBB and DAV are 2 important options as of now...! Getting thru with the admissions is very tough though!

Jyotsana: The School...also is kind of hi fi and Sishya is too hi fi...again..Chettinad is one option...but lotsa children belonging to celebrity families...I dont want to take a risk on that point!

Keeping fingers crossed for PSBB nungambakkam or T nagar...or the last option is PSBB Millenium in GST road!

hi roopa,

since my kid has joined PSBB, KK nagar in pre kg, this year thought will give some inputs abt this school.

firt abt the admissio procedures: they follow a strict time line for the kids date of birht, ofr admission to pre kg(they do not admit in between at LKG or UKG), the kid shd have born between 1st dec 2005 to ast Dec 2006, both days inclusive. the application from is issued in november i guess. and u need to produce the original birth certificate to get the appln form.

teh interview will b somewhere bet jan to mar, and is jus to c whether the child is able to ineract, not a tough interviw to prepare .....

but u had mentioned abt PSBB school buses plying abt entire city - they do nt have school bus option for kids at all, u need to arrange privately if u want tooooo.....

but i am more than satisfied withe the education pattern thats being followed, teachers are amazinga nd my son jus enjoys schooling there.

teh same goes with PSBB < t.nagar also..... no buses and the admission procedure is the same....

but psbb millieneum buses are ther ei guess thruout the city.
even in PSBB millineum teh applln will b issued during nov i guess.

but vidya mandir, both in adyar and mylapore and velachery they donot have pre kg, which means for LKG the kids should have complted 3 and half years by march or may.....

Hey guys heres an update:

PSBB does not take admissions in the middle

PSBB millenium admissions get over by end of december, Its quite costly in comparison to even the best schools in chennai, i am taking this out of the list becos its ard 27 kms from my house

I have these options now:

1. Alpha Matriculation

2. Boaz public school

3. Zion Matriculation

4. Sankara

5. Chinmaya

In all these schools application forms are distributed ard January, Chinmaya admission for 1st standard is in May.

Any one has any idea of Zion/ Alpha or Boaz or even Sankara in Tambaram, pls feel free to share

Shalini: Options in and ard Kilpauk; you gotta choose schools from chetpet or anna nagar...

1. Chinmaya Vidyalaya
2. maharishi Vidyalaya
3. Good Shepherd Convent

However Chinmaya and Good shepherd is very tough with the admisssions.. You can try Chinmaya at anna nagar.
